                                 12th May 2003

Dear Karen,

I resign. Taking into account the
need for a month's notice, my last working day
will be the 12th of June, 2003.

          Yours sincerely,

               Graham Clark.

Whoooo! Go you!

Short and to the point eh?

Last Calling 10th June then? Are you still hoping to spend a few days in London?

Feck feck feck. I'll not be back for that one. Still, I guess I'll see in you in Edinburgh, if I spend some time there after my return.

We have a tentative (but now will have to become more definite) band plan to come to this (and record BVs while we're in the area).

Short and sweet!

I must get to the Calling again before you disappear back to sunny Edinburgh.

Congratulations on taking the step. Will make every effort to get to your last Calling - and will no doubt catch up with you in Edinburgh at some point.

Ah well, time for a change ...

I take you aren't lucky enough to have gardening leave - quite often when you resign giving a months notice in City firms, you are escorted to the door after being given time to clear your desk. They still pay you for the month, but obviously you can't go to work in elsewhere - hence "gardening leave". Except last time that happened to me I hadn't dumped my email box, and lost hundreds of personal emails that I wanted to hold on to.

I completely forgot to say ...

Thanks for all the good work on behalf of humanity, doing your part to sequence the genome.

Its something you'll be able to get pints out of for years to come down the pub, no doubt.

Depending on your browser, it should show you on mouse roll-over ...

But anyway, it is my favourite dopamine re-uptake inhibitor.

Very popular with the Peruvian Indians.

Ah-hah

I'm getting so used to Mozilla not displaying alt= text for images (as per standards) that I tend to not hover over images any more - though LJ is using title= for images so we do get to see the text (rar!)

Gosh!

I hope everything goes really well. I shall be wishing the very best for you.

It is of course by far the RIGHT thing to do.

Go forth, young man. Well more like Go to the Firth of Forth really. :)

Let me add my voice to this. I hope I will see you again at the Calling before you go. It's nice to be free, isn't it? All those possibilities and time to relax and dream and plan....

Good stuff!

Glad to hear it's finally got to that stage where you were able to move off, after what seemed like time spent in less-than-ideal circumstances overall...

For I am in the way of telling "the man".

It is priceless.

By your leave?
