For as long as it takes all the little kids to go home to their beds, the house is empty and I won't be answering the door.

It's great having the house to myself. I can be as curmudgeonly as I like.

we can't do that; last year we actually were out but, as is our custom, left the hall light on so it sort of looks like someone's home, and they egged the house.
