This was apparently the name of a promo Clearlake CD. It had two songs on it - Dont let the cold in & I hang on every word you say.

I like Clearlake.

One thing I've noticed - there isn't a band called Squamous Johnson. Why not? More things should be called Squamous. It's a great word. If I ever have children, one of them will be called Squamous. Squamous Clark. I think it's got a nice ring to it.

Squamous and ring are two words that definitely should not be used in the same sentence.

I can't remember for sure, offhand, what sort of structure the skin on one's ring has. It'll be stratified squamous keratinised on the outside, probably, and columnar once you're properly into the rectum, but possibly stratified squamous non-keratinised during the transition. I should probably go and check that somewhere. I don't still have my histology book, though, so it might be tricky.

I messed around with stuff a couple of weeks back, but it didn't seem to do anything productive from where I was sitting. Then there was some downtime this morning, and suddenly everything's gone strange. I've no idea whether it's anything I've done or not - I rather suspect it isn't. I don't even know what it really looks like, and I won't until I have a look at it on something postdiluvian at home.

It's quite annoying (I'm not blaming you) - I hope the idea that people can affect how other people read their comments does not catch on. It's bad enough that people can make their journals revolting.

Also, on every machine I run Mozilla on, I've got to turn off marquee. Why did they ever support it? It's as much fun as syphilis! Aaargh!

[Mind you, while ranting about this is therapeutic, I'm actually awfully happy that Web browsers are acquiring options to deal with the fact that most Web designers have the good taste of acid-crazed wombats. I see that some of them have even implemented my wishlist feature "whenever you would open a new window except by my explicit request, open a new tab" - when Ms. Browser gets back from the US I should get her to install one.]

Ah, that's popup suppression, I like that too. But I want to handle the case where some fuckwitted Web designer has decided to make links open in a new window, which one should obviously never do under any circumstances whatsoever - if I hit the link, I want _something_ to happen.
