I got an email of support from a lurker today. In almost ten years of using net news, this has never happened before. All together now! So in spite of all good sense and sanity, it does happen. It's been too hot to move around here. This probably won't be news to anyone, as I hear it applied to most of the south of Britain. According to a friend, it reached 32C, which is about 89F, I think. Not bad for a supposedly temperate and oceanic climate. My Ozzie flatmate was reduced to grumbling that it was exactly the sort of weather he moved here to get away from. There was some thunder and rain today, and so it's now a little cooler. This played merry hell with the power supplies at work, so not as much got done as might have done. I ended up spending time playing with a couple of fairly problematic little projects that consequently might get in next month. We'll see.

Cambridge folk festival this weekend, Cropredy next. I'll be all folked out after that, I expect.

If anyone's interested who doesn't already know, [livejournal.com profile] mrph's doing the next Calling, and Taoist from Dark Trixx is going to be up for the one after.

According to the Metro it was 90F in London yesterday.

Oh, and Cambridge is a more happening place to live than London (which managed to get into some chart or other at a disgraceful number nine, next to Cam's number one).

Wonder if that means you have rocketing property prices and soaring crime rates to look forward to? (which is what put London down)

Yeah. Everyone knows that Cambridge clubs are hostile.
