The things I did and didn't find.
May. 3rd, 2005 10:30 amI had a trawl through my bags of old papers last night and couldn't find Celera's original press release. I did find a copy elsewhere, though.

Unfortunately it turns out that it wasn't the source of the figures about how much sequencing Celera were originally planning on doing, so I have to work out where I did get them from.
I found a couple of other things, though. A couple of old photos of people from my lab group from 1993, including someone some of you know, and a rather unnerving dotplot of a bit of genomic sequence compared to itself. I'll try and get these up online for your delectation and/or horror.
