Jun. 20th, 2002 09:50 pmRaven brought a very strange record back from Oz. Expect it to make an appearance at a Calling near you. He's not too chuffed, but the mood is OK at the moment because Tom is round and we're watching bad yank sitcoms.
I am off to Dublin tomorrow. Not with the friends who are going, though -I'm going to meet my Dad there.
Ahhh. Really? All Night? Well I never.
Anyway, it's been a quiet week. Sunday I dropped in on some people in the KSR and then went to see some other people and ended up in the Prot. Yesterday I got dragged out (kicking and screaming) to a pub where I was forced to drink the evil Addlestone's fluid until I felt quite happy. One of those May Balls was on, so the world was full of young women in expensive-looking low-cut dresses. Life is so hard sometimes. I ended up having an interminable discussion about Robert Heinlein and snipers. And time machines. I was so drunk that I didn't even combine the three into a plan to send a sniper back in a time machine to shoot Heinlein. I should have.
He didn't, did he? All night?
Anyway, much discussion of low-level ionising radiation over the weekend, I guess, and then back to work on Monday.
Toodle-pip.

Date: 2002-06-20 04:48 pm (UTC)but May Balls are traditionally in June. There's even a book named with that in mind.
Of course, we in Oxford drop the inaccurate month prefix. Sneer.

Date: 2002-06-24 05:00 pm (UTC)I did. Graham knew about six weeks ago that I'd be in Dublin this weekend. I didn't make a big deal about it because I (correctly) assumed I'd be too busy to do much hanging about. Great place, though. I should visit more often.
