Indiarubber spectacles : a question.

Who wrote the short story that started with a man waking up into a terrifying and surreal world, and ended with him finding a way to go back to sleep wearing the indiarubber spectacles that give you logical dreams? It came up in conversation, and I can't for the life of me remember. Google hasn't been helpful on this occasion.
