I'm at work today. This evening I'll be travelling down to London. I'll be there until Wednesday morning, when I head over to Cropredy for the annual hippy-herding gig. Back to Edinburgh Sunday afternoon, and then Neon in the evening.

Important update:

I was told yesterday (or maybe even the day before) that the Magnetic Fields will be playing London in October, but it turns out it's a proper tour - London on the 10th, and then Cambridge, Edinburgh, Coventry and Manchester. Even Dublin too, in case you Irish types won't still be knackered from all those NoMeansNo Gigs. Dates here. Be there or be an ungroovy fucker (spot that quotation for a free pint/other treat next time I see you).

I'm sorry I'm not going to Croppers this year, as the line up looks good, or at least as good as it gets (Ashley Hutchings on Saturday might be interesting). My money says Thompson'll turn up for a guest spot in Fairport's set.

They've been very good when i've seen them. I've no idea whos opening, though. Before I've always found out on the night and not before.

Andrew Bird opened for them in Boston. He's well worth seeing, if they brought him along for the whole tour.
