zotza bit of politics, abi377s, addlestone's cider, comma-separated lists, criticising car drivers, criticising cellphone users, independent art-wank cinema, john otway, justin ranting, more politics. not madge bloody manson. paul crowley ranting. some more politics, speed cameras, the grauniad, the green banana club, the kings street run, world domination enterprises, yet more politics.
Some of these I can understand, because they're just feeble attempts at humour. But John Otway? It's a little dispiriting, I suppose, that the Green Banana Club and World Dom Ents have been forgotten, but it's very sad that only two years after having been acclaimed for writing the fourth best song in the English language, young John has been consigned to oblivion.

(Cor Baby That's Really Free) on the Old Grey Whistle Test. In the middle, he did a great leap across the stage, legs split wide apart in a grand moment of rock shape-throwing.
And landed astride his amplifier.
Most of the stuff in a typical Otway gig is a lot less painful. Not much of it is any saner.
