Half of the Cuban Boys, apparently. the half, of course, that's not the Beatbox Saboteurs. I've just been listening to yon Wasp Factory compilation that I picked up at Whitby.

There are two Spray tracks on it - "I am gothic" and "Child of the 80s". they are both very very daft and more than a little sarcastic. I have been immediately moved to play them in public (lots) and try to spot people who don't realise they're having the piss taken.

Incidentally, one of the BBSabs CDs (we do call them the BBSabs, don't we?) has commercial breaks with old adverts. By their ceaseless work on voodoo dolls they forced me to drop snippets of the Old Spice advert voiceover into that annoying Apoptygma song that overuses Carmina Burana samples. I felt most (self-)righteous.

There is an amazing Swedish black metal supergroup called War, who write songs called things like "I Am Elite", "666", "Hell" etc. Similar principle I suspect.

I suspect we may be talking about different Wars... :-/ Either that, or you've got much better taste in music than I had you down for... joking! Joking! Stop hitting me!

The trouble with "Love Never Dies" is that AP are quite good at writing music, but they remind you over and over again in that song that Carl Orff effortlessly shits on their lunch from the grave, and it would be a much better song if they just let go of the reins and let him take over.

I trust you've found their webshite?

I wrote to them, enthusing about 'I am gothic' (and gibbered about it to Lee Chaos) and they were splendid enough to send a hand-burned CD filled with all sorts of equally mad tunes.

I plan to have them shot after they become famous and retire on the Ebay proceeds.

Holy synthpop, Batman! I appear to have beaten you to a band! Would you like to borrow the Spray album? They are pretty damn good, really. :)

I don't think you've ever implied it, I just assumed it as soon as I met you. ~g~
