I was wondering about the problem of leaving the country and came to the same conclusion. It'd be funny if half the country tried to claim asylum in France.
Within the EU, one is allowed to freely migrate. One is also given the right to pay taxes to one's home state while living/working in another, for a period of up to 6 months.
So I was thinking of officially migrating to France, paying taxes there, but living in the UK and working here for the next 6 months.
Your version was deemed by its readers to be complete and beautiful within itself, requiring no adornment or validation from lesser mortals. Mine wasn't.
