Not significantly often.

Several scientists, many microbes, and a few pot plants.

The rook. Stolid and unimaginative. White, probably.

Alone, and in great pain.

Dogs are more intelligent and social, and therefore more work. Better company, on

Blunt at the top, bifurcated at the base.

My Friend Mr Leakey! Thanks for reminding me - I've been looking for that on and off for years and it nows seems that it's back in print. I can remember little of it, other than the goldfish that came out of the tap, and that mangoes should only be eaten in the bath. I do remember loving it though.

I hadn't read it for years, and then a friend mentioned that it was by professor Haldane. I refused to believe him at the time. I was very surprised to dig out a copy and find that he was right. This was the same guy who used to have a pair of winklepickers, incidentally.

I should probably have included Desmond Bagley's Running Blind as one of the three, actually. It was one of the reasons I was so keen to go to Iceland.
