The bus on the way into work was very slow. Again, it took abouttwice as long as usual, although this was only forty minutes this time. The view, though was astonishing. The wind yesterday blew the snow onto all the north-facing surfaces, leaving the southern sides clean, so all the trees, bushes, signs and fenceposts have sugar frosting on one side. The whole world I was coasting through had a wonderful air of unreality.

The other notable point is that out of a dozen of us, only three are in work today. Maybe I shoud have stayed in bed.

Oh, and now we're onto a very strange version of Summer Holiday. I'm going to have to get a copy of this record.

It's a CD belonging to Dave-at-the-next-desk, a gentleman and scholar of taste and discrimination.
He says he/they were previously (in?) the Cuban Boys, after being told so by the Blessed John of Peel. Apparently the mails from Skreen of the Cuban Boys were succeeded by mails from Skreen of the Beatbox Saboteurs.

It is beautiful out there, isn't it? I've been wandering around Cambridge this morning like an utter tourist, taking photos and everything. Of course a lot of the centre is already spoiled (by bloody tourists trampling everything to take photos...) but the trees and fields along the backs are truly gorgeous.

It's lovely out here by a building site in the country. Unfortunately the sunset hasn't been up to much, but I can live with that.
