I have had triumphs in the last day, including at least one that I may not discuss publicly, but greatest among them is this: I have a new video recorder, and I have successfully programmed it.

I've never managed to program a video recorder in my entire life. How did you do it? Did you have to point it towards Mecca or do a rain dance or shake a magic stick or something? Seriously, WHAT IS THE SECRET?
