I've just been to a stewards' briefing, and the word from people like the council and the police is that trouble is not expected. It seems likely to be calm and fluffy. The ballpark figure for the number of people expected was 100,000, but obviously it could be a fair way either side of that.
On George IV Bridge, the only shop with boards on the windows has them there because they have builders in. Those who seem to know anything aren't worried.
I don't know where I'll be tomorrow, exactly, or what I'll be doing, but hopefully I'll see some of you there.
