The other day at work someone was reading out an article in which Pinochet's lawyer was complaining that Pinochet was being persecuted.

We thought for a while, and agreed he was. Deliberately. Unlike his lawyer, we couldn't quite see why this was a bad thing.

I don't know. Yes, it does seem like he develops new medical problems every time the case moves forward; but then again he is pretty old, and stress can exacerbate existing conditions, and bring on problems.
