The bassist is racist, you know that we must face this.
Yesterday was mostly quiet. I had a lie in, then went down to the shops in search of the new Killing Miranda and SLF albums. I only found the former. In the evening Gigantor went fairly well. We didn't get the turnout we'd have liked (Teviot's bouncers may be an issue, as may the fact that we've been even less regular than usual lately) but people stayed until the end and put up with the usual oddities we played. Helen S was there, and it'll probably be the last time I see her in a good while as she's off to Australia to get hitched.
Today's been mostly quiet, except for
bootpunk coming round with a couple of beers and a copy of Christiane F, which is a nice cheery film I recommend to you all.
And now, Neon. I hope you've all had good weekends too.
Addendum: last night it occurred to me for the first time to wonder why nobody ever refers to Mötlëy Crüë as Mötlëy Crüët.

Which, incidentally, I've never seen despite having been a David Bowie obsessive since the age of 15.

It's a laugh a minute, as I'm sure you're aware.

Christiane F: was there a soundtrack album released? Or was there a Bowie track? I'm getting all sorts of half-arsed memory triggers.

BTW, accidently caught the South Bank Show last night on Iggy Pop. It was very interesting. I particularly liked a bit of footage from this year's Stooges reunion where he said "We're happy to be here! We're happy to be fucking anywhere!" - which they have more cause to feel than most, I think! It certainly sounded more convincing than the usual onstage greetings.
