My teeth are hurting again. Not as badly as they did on Tuesday, but enough to chase me home from the pub early. Overall, they seem to be settling down after the temporary filling ("sedative"(?) according to the dentist), but not quickly enough for my liking.

Supplemental: Apart from getting up in the night to go for a piss, it's been fine. This looks good for not needing the root nerve fiddled with. More news as it breaks.

If it's your gums and not your teeth (and it can be hard to tell!) try Oraldene mouthwash. It tastes vile, but will clear up any infections and sore spots.

*nods* I do - it's actually recommended for use after dental work anyway.
Get the mint-flavoured one and not the original, though, which tastes like Dettol smells.

You should try Oil of Cloves also, will get that in any chemist. Will help numb the pain, and you don't have to drink as many pints to get the same effect :)

Mmm, clovey goodness!

Dammit. I'm going to be humming Magnetic Fields songs all day now.

"Smoke clove cigarettes and drink vermouth like I was seventeen / that would be a scream"

argh! Now I've got that one too

I guess I should take Prozac, right,
And just smile all night at somebody new,
Somebody not too bright but sweet
And kind who would try to get you off my mind.

I don't understand our dentist is at the practice and she is NHS.

Anyway check out this page for more info.

Bah. I guess the NHS dentists are just a lot busier. Can you register with one of the NHS ones for follow ups?
