They're hard, clean, perfect-sounding and are obsessed with accuracy and space. A unique sound, similar to Big Black but much cleverer and more brutish. They have a genius for discovering new rhythmic hooks "from the book".
I suppose the best way to decribe them is that they sound like a bunch of machines that have discovered what it is that's missing from Techno music and have become conscious and are now constructing their own music as a way of filling in the holes with a terrifying efficiency.
They're also one of the most versatile and exciting live bands I've seen - plus, they usually have very bizarre Q&A sessions with the audience at their gigs, which usually ranges from the ridiculous to the, er, even more ridiculous... and is always a laugh.
