Well, I didn't get the sequencing job, but they did get back asking me to go to another interview in about three weeks. It seems to be something to do with microscopes.

This will be interesting. I haven't used a microscope in over a decade.

I was very amused by this entry of Simon's (warning : includes linux mail-client geekery). And encouraged by this news about Dr Who.

Yesterday's NTK had the latest in their series of odd google image searches. As usual, one of the results from googling on left arrow isn't the same as the rest. lovingboth has just pointed out, though, that the site has an interesting owner . . .

I believe they make rather good paperweights.

Still very useful in biology. If you want to see what a whole cell's up to and where it's gone, an optical microscope's just right.
