Quiet day at work.

zotzDa Boss was interviewing today, so we didn't see much of her. We're after a replacement for somebody who left to work in the checking team, and possibly for somebody who may be going over to the exon-trapping team. "What the hell's exon-trapping?" I hear you cry . . . but it's a bit complex to go into here. Anyway, I walked a couple of them about the building. They both seemed bright and friendly, but there were three others I didn't get to talk to, so I wouldn't want to guess who'll get it.
Apart from that, I made some progress with an extremely tricky and strange project called bA383M4. If you've any experience with DNA sequencing then I might be able to explain what the oddest thing was . . .
The only notable thing outside work was finding a recorded call fom an old friend that I bumped into at the Slimelight a few months ago. She called on Saturday while I was out, which was a nice surprise. I must call her back Real Soon and see how she's doing. We've vaguely arranged to go and see the Wellcome Trust's museum on Euston Road at some point, and I suppose we should really put a date on it at som point. Come to think of it, I should get in touch with my Thespy friend at some point . . . and, come to think of it, a fair few other friends too. We were supposed to be having a meet in the Big Shitty at some point this summer, but it didn't happen. It should, though.
I have the house all to myself at the moment,
Valk being in London and Lorien being over at Silke's (isn't this business with handles . . . childish? Never mind, it gets me off using their real names. Quite nice the place being empty, though.
And now, having told the world about tomorrow's edition of The Calling (*Officially* Britain's most hostile goth club!) I can go to bed. Night, all.
