Anyone know much about Dynamic DNS? Anyone know enough to recommend anywhere?

I've been using http://www.dyndns.org/ for a while without any problems.

A guy I know from WPI runs dyndns.org, but they didn't give jehanna a job. Thus, out of spite, I hesitate to recommend them.
The guy who runs it is krellis. He's not a bad guy, except for this not-hiring-Ford thing, and being unbearably smug.

It's pretty minimal, but then it is free!

For DDNS, there's a perl script that you need to bung on your machine and stick in cron. But it's only DNS - it's not like there's a lot to say about it, really!

What is nice is the way that you can managed all your domains through a nice web interface...

I use ddts.org (http://www.ddts.org/), largely because I quickly found the ddt-client package in Debian, so it was a breeze to set up.

You see, that's the sort of thing that I meant. No mention of what sort of client is needed. I'm sure everything you need to know is presented when you need it, but it's all a bit enigmatic at first approach.

I keep finding more and more bits of software that are starting to include support for DynDNS.
Used to use them myself. No complaints.
