Another article about terrorism.

This one, in fact, from today's Guardian, entitled "I'm not going to respond to terrorism by becoming a terrorist", which is a series of interviews with people who've lost relatives to terror attacks or policies (by various definitions).


A couple of my longer-standing friends in particular may find this interesting in other ways than just for the content.

Indeed. I think it must be the same Rachel. I did at one point find an email address, which I promptly lost again, before using, so I don't know for sure. I can't find it again now. If you go googling for her, she seems to cover a lot of ground with her articles.

As Lara has noticed, the journalist in question Rachel Shabi - I'd guess the same Rachel Shabi who used to hang around at the Potterrow, and who I'm sure you must have met several times back then.

Ah, possibly. Name doesn't ring a bell. I probably didn't know her all that well, and may never have known her surname. What did she look like?

You're probably right there. Black bob, often wore a stripy top and cardigan, short skirt, footless tights and monkey boots. Used to hang around with a friend (also with short black hair) called Claire. Later she joined Potterrow Committee for a while. Alan T was quite keen on her for a bit, but that didn't go anywhere.
