Or bleeping and setlists, even.

There's something bleeping in my room. My first thought as I lay half-asleep is that it was a mobile receiving a text. Now, I don't have such a thing, of course, but it definitely seemed to be in my room. It happened again maybe twenty minutes later. And again a bit after that. I don't think I own anything that makes that sort of noise. It occurred to me thatmaybe the phones off the hook, but it's not like the noise I've heard it make before when I've done that.

Most odd. Maybe I've been the victim of an inverse cellphone-mugging.

Anyway. My setlists from the Friday night of the G**h weekend in Edinburgh, and from the Calling last night, are here:

We had a mysterious bleep in the kitchen for nearly a month. It was one bleep every now and then, quite quiet, and almost impossible to pinpoint. Took us ages to find it was a free digital clock that had come with a DVD we'd bought from Australia chiming the hour. Or at least what would have been the hour if we'd lived in a timezone shifted from ours by 7 hours and 17 minutes.

Smoke alarm? The one in my house bleeps intermittently (and seemingly at quite irregular intervals) when the batteries are getting low. One short "peep" every ten to twenty minutes.

Dying computer fans sometimes sing a song to get your attention. Confused the hell out of me the first time it happened...

Absolutely bloody brilliant set you played there. I don't think I've danced that much at The Calling in ages. ~much applause and many thanks~

Ooh, I'd have been right there with you until Covenant. Even Apop, that's the only Apop song I like!

How very odd. The very same thing happened in my room this morning, yet I know I left my mobile in Oxfordshire. It seemed to come from a suitcase which contains nothing but photographs and hasn't been opened for years until last week. Just 2 sets fo beeps as if to say "you have a text message" or "your battery is low" and nothing more. Quoth the suitcase, nothing more.

if it was happening before I left for work this morning, and stopped when I left, it was my mobile, in a bag just outside your door, making 'feed me' noises.

It's also the only Apop song I like. I can even put up with Dead Stars - it's a damn good pop song. I only get annoyed by those who think it's industrial.
