Hmm.

So those copies of Mumbleman that I have kicking around are worth something, then? Better check I still have them (not that I would have sold them, but these things can drift away over a few years' worth of moving around etc). I certainly bought them as they came out, and haven't re-read them much if at all.

Bloody hell. Shows how little attention I've been paying to the biz end of the conics biz lately.

I've got the tpbs (and most of the issues somewhere), and I've been happily loaning them out to close and not-so-close friends on the basis that they're, well, tpbs - relatively cheap and replaceable. Ooops.

I wonder if the original Warrior issues have gone up in price, too? At least one of them had some MM material that was never reprinted, and I was always seeing them in the 25p box at comic shops, with the 2000ADs...

It appears that the issues are more likely to show up than the trades these days. Of course, at this point, I'm not sure if I'd lend them out to anyone I didn't really really trust.
