I was also going to mention that one of my friends that I saw at the weekend was going out with a bona fide pop star earlier this year.

Yes, my mate's shagged a Tweenie. I don't know which one. Hopefully not one of the dogs.

(Small picture of said TV personalities)

I didn't know what a Tweenie was before. Now I wish I still didn't...

What is it about British children's television that makes it so appalling? Thomas the Tank Engine, with its scary grinning dead faces on the fronts of trains, the dystopian nightmare of the Teletubbies, and these creatures... Man. Do you all grow up traumatized, or what?

they're deeply disturbing.

They released an irritating single last year called 'best friend forever', which without the helium-enhanced voices, could have been a Spice Girls or All Saints tune.

The theme tune to their TV show runs 'come and play with the Tweenies'. Which presumably Graham's mate took too literally.

I do recall an email about the Clangers being communist-oriented going round a while ago (along with one about Scooby Doo being off his trolley).
http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/ilove/tv/clangers/trivia.shtml is amusing, and indeed the trivia link on the Bagpuss page is much more political in nature

Are you feeling alright? Commenting in your own journal is fair enough. Even replying to your own comment. But four times? ;)

You have to find out which one. I get to see one episode of this every day...

Your view sounds more interesting than mine, that's for sure. I get a strip of sky and a strip of street and a view into the office opposite. But they've got their blinds closed today. They never do anything interesting anyway.
