Thousandth post. What was I thinking of?
Jul. 13th, 2005 05:09 pmAnd, more to the point, why did I need to think of it a thousand times?
Yesterday I went to work, discussed some future microscopy with a punter from upstairs, had a meeting and went home. Today looks like just the same, except I haven't gone home yet.
Yesterday, when I did get home, a CD had arrived from Tony (thanks), with very excellent songs scratched onto it. Although it was very nicely put together and a lot of the songs were very good and appropriate, The one that jumped out was by the Walkabouts, who it turns out are a band I should probably have picked up on about ten years ago. Still, better late than never.
If Iraq was Afghanistan repeating as tragedy, are we about to have the US assembling a coalition of the willing-to-invade-Yorkshire?
Also, an interesting article for the percussion-inclined
Addendum: I phoned Tucson as well. That's good. I wouldn't want to not know what day it was. We have a microscopy component that splits images into two by colour. It comes in a lovely little moulded plastic briefcase that looks like it should have a tactical nuke in it. We didn't, but now do, know how the filters and dichroics we'll need fit into the picture. Fascinating, no?
No.
No, not really.

Date: 2005-07-13 04:17 pm (UTC)Hey, hey, hey... let's not be hasty. It's West Yorkshire. North Yorkshire is completely harmless. You won't find any dangerous cultural diversity in York or Harrogate thank you very much! [I'd keep an eye on South Yorkshire though, they're a bunch of freak down there.]
