Work and Gmail.
Sep. 6th, 2004 04:29 pmIt's a bit busier today, and people are promising me more work in the future. Obviously I'm not holding my breath, and I'll believe it when I see it, but perhaps there's grounds for slight optimism.
Also, does anyone in the universe not have Gmail yet who wants it? Not only was I pretty much the last person to get an account, but they are adding insult to injury by giving me more invite codes as fast as I can hand them out (well, actually I've only given out two, but to give two of something away and still have as many as you started with is a little odd).
The fireworks last night were excellent from where we were. The music was by Greig, from Peer Gynt, so it started with Morning and finished with In The Hall Of the Mountain King. Rousing stuff, especially when accompanied by psychedelic visuals and the sort of artillery-barrage noise that would make the average industrial band give up and play filk instead.
I still need to mention Cropredy, and the fact that Fiona's just been up in Scotland for a week and we Did Things. Touristy Things. Touristy Things involving Ruined Castles and even Distilleries.
