zotzWell, the hub at home imploded last week, so I can't update this thing from home - or do some other stuff either. I really need to get lynx sorted out on the routing machine. Things'd be fine then. I've had problems with the phone line, as well, but of course they cleared up as soon as I'd arranged for someone to come out and look at it.
In other news, I got a ticket for the Folk festival. Handily, this is a week before Cropredy and featuring such well-known folk icons as Billy Bragg, Joe Strummer and Chumbawamba. I was wondering after that if it's the same weekend as bicon, but it's two weeks earlier. Bigger news was that last week Dave at work (who really deserves further explanation) managed to get, at very short notice, four tickets to the recording of ISIHAC last night in Leicester. So it was me, him, Wendy that we share a lab with, and her bloke (also called Dave, just to avoid confusion). The guest was Jeremy Hardy, whose singing is fast becoming a national institution. The highlight was A Day In The Life Of Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen - I laughed until I very nearly puked. The pain was quite considerable.
Also (and finally, this time), Jerry Sadowitz is back on the telly. A new series of the Gerry Attrick show's been running for at least two weeks and maybe longer. I saw it on Saturday (Channel 5) with some friends who'd dropped round, and I think they were as surprised as I was to see what sort of thing is broadcastable these days. Oddly, he seems to have discarded the audience this time. Still, it all worked quite well.
