zotzAccording to this BBC story, a fossil millipede found not far from Aberdeen is the oldest known fossil of a land animal.
To put it another way, hundreds of millions of years ago, primitive creatures pulled themselves out of the primordial slime just outside Stonehaven.
This would not amaze you if you've ever been to Stonehaven.
